Our History
My name is Kariann Reimann, I was born in Cedar City Ut, and raised in Parowan Ut. I am the youngest of seven children. I moved up to SLC in fall of 2005, to work at Huntsman Cancer Hospital. Some of my married friends let me move in with them, because they are awesome and love me. Soon after I moved in they found out that they were expecting their first child, so when Joni was about 8 months along I moved out into my own place, so that they would have more room for the baby. I moved into the Grant Street Apartments, to be close to some friends. I didn't know this at the time but this move landed me into my now husbands ward. But contrary to popular belief we didn't met at church. We had met a couple weeks prior at a Bee's Baseball game. (funny thing is neither of us like baseball) The second that I looked back to see him walking down the stairs I knew that we would get married. I know that sounds strange but I just knew. We had some other encounters before I moved into his ward. We ran into each other at the movies, Steven and his brothers we walking out of the theatre while I was walking in, I was so shocked to see him there I forgot his name. He walked up to me and started talking to me, i was embrassed that I was there alone so I just said that I had to go. Later when he found out he was mad that I hadn't told him I was alone, because he would've have taken me out.
The rest is just history we started dating soon after I moved into the ward. He proposed at the Italy casino in Las Vegas over dinner. But he just asked me to pray about, I told him that I already had and YES I wanted to marry him! We dropped it after that, and just had fun in Vegas for the weekend. (Steven was working in Vegas at the time and his company would fly him home on weekends) So the next Friday after his flight came in we went back to my apartment to talk. I asked him when he wanted to get married, I didn't know if he wanted to wait for awhile or if he wanted to get married right away. So the next morning we went ring shopping and brought the ring.
We got married December 7th 2006 in the Bountiful Temple. It was a beautiful day, The best of my life. The only thing that I would change about that day would be that my Dad could have been there. He was serving our Country in Afghanistan, and wasn't allowed to come home. But the morning of the wedding I was able to talk to my dad on the phone, he wished me the best of luck, and told me that he knew that I was making a wise choice and to not fell guilty. We had a dinner after the wedding, we had mostly family at the wedding, neither of us wanted a big wedding.
So in the last year we have both changed jobs, Steven is working at Quality Tire, and I am working at the U of U hospital in the OR. We have moved into a bigger Apartment, which we really enjoy the extra space. I went back to school to get a degree in nursing. We bought to Honda Scooters this summer and we love them!!! We can't wait for it to get warmer so we can ride them again. We are a fairly typical newlywed couple, we work a lot, and have to fight in order to spend some time with one another.
