Dinner....

So tonight for dinner we had some of our good friends Casey and Jill come over. I felt bad because I thought that we had everything needed before they came over but we didn't, i am really bad when it comes to preparedness. So Steven sent Jill and me to Harmons to pick up some more esssentials. When Jill and I got back no joke, it looked like Steven and Casey had hot boxed the house. They were really just heating up some oil but got distracted watching American Idol, I can't say that I blame them, I love it when they show the rejected participants. Steven successful cooked a great meal. It is good thing I married Steven because overwise I would still be living off of cereal, pb and j, insta pasta (on special occasions) oatmeal, fruit and lots of fast fatty food.... He makes the best food, tonight he made navajo taco's, they were great!!! During din din we watched the Moment of Truth on Fox, holy cow it was so funny. so yeah that was our great night....

Busy Life...

So I have been a total slacker and havn't posted on my blog for a long time. Mostly because my life is boring. Well maybe it isn't that boring, I am married to Steven. He is by far the most entertaining person I know, and he can make any situation fun.

Today something out of the ordinary happened we went sledding. We had a great group, Randy, Jenny, Brad, Claire (yeah we brought a two month old baby) Aaron, Lisa, Corbin (and a nine month old baby) Casey, Steven, and myself, later that afternoon two of my bro's came up Mike and Chris and Mikes three kids Kenzy, Cory, and Dylan. So in preperation of going up the hill we went to Quality Tire (Steven's Work) To see if we could buy a tractor tire, but the guys at the front desk informed us that the used intertubes were free, so we took one, I love hookups they make me happy. So a couple hours later we headed up the mountain. It was so much fun!!! Brad was so cute I love watching little kids play sports, he is so entertaining!!! We went down the hills a lot, steven and I are so sore, but it was so worth it. For about an hour we were taking turns going off some pretty sweet jumps, we were pretty much the best jumpers on the hill. JK we were making fools of oursleves but I had fun doing it.

As for the rest of life, the math class that I'm taking, it well boring to say the least, the break from study will be nice, I am alreadly three chapters ahead on my homework. On my last post I mentioned about how one of my brothers was adopting a baby boy, well hopefully his wife and the baby will be able to come home next friday, there have been a couple complications but in my heart I know that things will work out fine its all in Gods hands and in Gods time. They have named him Christian Terrance Mortensen, which I love. He is the cutiest thing. He is really small he is almost a month old and still only weighs 6'13. Everytime I look at any of the picture of him I fall more in love with that little guy.

But life is normal and good just the way I like it....

New Years

So the past couple of days have thrown me right back into reality, and fast. Wednesday I had to go school and buy my books for the upcoming semester, I hate having to see how much money I am spending on some books on biology and math, yes I know their importance and how they serve me everyday, but I really don't care. I then had to go around to other offices at the school making sure that everything else was in place and good to go Monday.

I went back to work after a wonder five day weekend, to have some crazy days there, but its good to be there, because otherwise I would be thinking solely about my brother and his wife. So Wednesday afternoon when I was talking to my mom on the phone she told me the news that Chris and Heather, might have potentially found a baby to adopt. At first I tried to not get my hopes up to much because these situations are really hard.... Well Thursday Morning they flew back to Alabama (where the little boy is) to meet with attorneys and also to meet their new son (well I hope and pray that he will be theirs) Apparently they are meeting him today, I hope he sends me some pictures. Chris is coming home Sunday to work out the financing for all of the fees. Heather is staying back in the south area at least until the 15th to work out the whole crossing state borders thing, and all of the other things that I don't have any idea about. So yeah my mind is well preoccupied, usually you get nine months go get excited about a new nephew or niece I have a matter of weeks.....

I also have a weekend of family ahead of me. My parents are coming up on Saturday, because my Dad is in the National Guard, and has to come up for his monthly gathering, so my mom tags along, I think mostly because my Dad just got back from Afghanistan August 2006, so my Mom doesn't like to be away from him if at all possible, plus she gets to come and visit. Plus my eldest brother Mike and his family are coming down as well since we didn't get to see each other during the holidays. I can't wait to see them I love hanging with my brother, he is great!!! We also have the blessing of our sweet niece Claire to attend, Lots to do, but its all good I like to stay busy for the most part.

I also have school bright and early Monday morning to look forward too...
