Two minute Mullet

Before
Mullet

So if anyone of you have seen Steven in the past couple of months you might have noticed that his hair was long, puffy, and at the end shaggy. For a while I thought that I was married to a hippie, excluding the crazy lifestyle. To explain why he let his hair grow, it all started conference weekend. We were moving and had some family over helping us, well after we were done moving we went to Olive Garden (one of my favs) to fill our bellies with Brad and Rochelle Fransworth. Well we got talking and Rochelle wanted to get her ear's prieced but was kind of freaked our by it. So Steven said that he would grow his hair out and then in January cut it into a mullet for a week. Well it has been growing waiting for the mullet, but to my great pleasure he was only able to have the mullet for two minutes opposed to the week. Another reason I am thankful for Steven getting a manger postion. Here are some great camera phone pictures of our experience!!! By the way I forgot how HOT Steven is with short hair...

Congrats to Stevie

So this past week has been an exciting, stressful and compeling all at the same time. Steven was offered a mangement postion with the Company that he is employed with. This will require him to communte to Orem, and have a lot more responsiblities. I am really excited for him, it is an amazing blessing and oppertunity. I am very proud of him.

I also was able to met the newest edition to our family. My brother Chris and his wife Heather were finally approved to come home from Alabama. So the day after they came home I drove out to Tooele to met him. I am alreadly so in love with that little boy. Christain is so little but such a bundle of joy. I am so glad that Chris and Heatherbrought him into our family. it only took five weeks to get him home, but if anyone knows anything about Mortensen's they are always late!!! So the way that I see it was almost like his way to becoming a "true" Mortensen. I am going to post some pics of him on my next blog.

Life

So I have such a hard time posting, so here is a catch up on our lives.
As you can see above we decided to buy a new TV. The night that we bought it Steven was dragging me around Wal-Mart looking at TV's, I really didn't like any of their mercandice and suggested that we go to Circut City and look at what they had. Well fifteen minutes later we had picked out the TV and started working on payment options. But what we didn't think of is how where we going to be able to get it home. Our friend Kasey was with us and we were drving the Tempo. Did I mention that the TV that we bought is a 40'inch. So the guy from Curcit City helped us shove the TV in the backseat. It took ten minutes, seriously!!! Kasey was kind enough to drive us home, Steven and I ended up sharing the passenger bucket seat. I think I laighed the whole way home. Ever since we have been enjoying our new toy. I have discovered that KUED has an HD channel that just plays documentaries and other programs like Nature and Nova. I have become a junkie on that station, and before this TV I rarely/never watched TV. oh well what do you do?
We have also decided that we are going to buy a home this summer. Wish us good luck!! We are really excited and scared at the same time.
My brother and his wife and their new edition Christain will hopefully be able to come home this tuesday. they have had quite the time, he is such a cute little guy I can't wait to meet him.
